First Protein Crystallography at G1

Shown is the first Laue image from a lysozyme crystal taken by Quan Hao and collaborators at G1 station at 12.4 keV using a Quantum 4 detector. In Laue mode the relatively small 2% bandwidth of the multilayer x-ray beam was used to collect reflections at fixed angles.

In the second part of the MacCHESS study at G-line, Richard Gillilan took SAXS images from protein
complexes in solution (as continuation of a study started at D-line). The goal of this study was to determine
the shape of the complex using methods presented by J. Gunter Grossman at the recent CHESS User Meeting who collaborates in this work. Click here for more.
