G1 Hardware

Motors

There are currently 14 motors configured at G1.

  • 4 motors for sample positioning in x and z: samx, samz, gamx and gamz. The samx and samz are configured for the sam stage and is thought to be the usual sample stage for SAXS experiments in transmission. gamx and gamz are configured for the GISAXS stage.

  • 2 motors for sample rotation with the GISAXS-stage: spindle (around x-axis, as needed e. g. for ai in GISAXS) and samphi (around z-axis).

  • 4 motors for controlling the flightpath in x and z: fl1x and fl1z at the upstream side and fl2x and fl2z at the downstream side.

  • 1 motor for moving the detector in z: detz.

  • 3 motors for possible additional actions: bsx, bsz and bsbz

If you like to configure your own motors you should use the bs-motors and leave the others untouched. samphi should be only used with motor 11, as it works with a lower current.

Moving the detector in x and y can be done manually.
