1) Installation on G-line IPC bus
The PCIDCC20-P board by Kontron can go on either
side of the extended PCI bus in the industrial PC (IPC).
The board presently needs two extra empty slots for
4 LEMO connectors each. Preferably IPC slots that
are partly obstructed by cabling should be used for these
additional slots.

2) SPEC installation
A) Menu : Motor and Scaler configuration
SCALERS : YES
TYPE : Am9513 Counter/Timer
PCI Boards
NUM : 9
Technical note: the 20 16-bit counter/timers (5 on each AM9513 chip)
are combined into
8 32-bit counters (two on each chip). The remaining 5th counter on
chip no.1 (J1) is used
as the time base. Chip 1 acts as the master, and the counting against
monitor is only implemented
for counter 1 on chip 1. The other chips are slaves, i.e. gated by
the master chip.
B) Menu : Scaler (counter) configuration
